Year 11 Chuckball Video

We have introduced the game of chuckball to our Year 11 pupils. This is a competitive team sport that draws upon some of the skills used in basketball, as well as the sharp shooting that we are familiar with from football.

A large part of the learning around this sport has been to understand the rules. Chuckball is a non-contact sport, plus there are specific rules about how and where we can shoot from.

Teamwork is also important when playing chuckball. Year 11 have been finding out how we need to create space. Our teammates need to find someone who is free before they can pass the ball to them. You can watch a short demonstration of the Year 11 chuckball skills in the video above.
