Year 9 have been studying the Tudor period during recent history lessons. We have been focussing on King Henry VIII and his six wives. We started off our work by watching a short Horrible Histories video. We wanted the pupils to not only be able to record various facts about the six wives, but also to identify why it was so important for Henry to have a son.
To help us with our understanding of the complex personal relationships of King Henry VIII, the pupils have completed a Tudor family tree. We asked the pupils to sequence the six wives in the correct order, and then to offer an explanation as what eventually happened to each wife.
