Christmas Arrangements at Lansdowne

As we approach the busy Christmas period, we would like to draw parents, carers and pupils to some of the key events that will be taking place at Lansdowne School between now and the end of the autumn term.

Pantomime Production, 10 December

We are thrilled to announce that a visiting theatre group will be staging a special pantomime production of Aladdin at 2pm on the 10 December.

Oh no they’s won’t

This is a fantastic initiative that has come directly from the School Council. The Lansdowne Cllr’s suggested this idea as a special treat to celebrate the hard work that has been carried out this term.

New School Building Showcase, 11 December

Parents and carers of Lansdowne pupils are invited to attend a showcase for the plans for the new school build on 11 December from 3:30pm – 6:30pm. The meeting will be an interactive session with an opportunity to ask any questions to the architects and builders who are working on the project. It would be fantastic to see as many parents and carers attending as possible. This is a chance to have a say on the future of Lansdowne.

Christmas Lunch, 18 December

All pupils and staff at Lansdowne School will be able to enjoy a full Christmas lunch on 18 December. The menu includes roast turkey with all the extras, or a vegetarian option of cranberry, brie and spinach puff pastry parcel. If your child usually has a packed lunch, a small covering charge of £1.75 will need to be made for the Christmas meal.

Class Parties and Carol Concert, 19 December

The final day of the autumn term at Lansdowne School will be on Friday 19 December. The staff are preparing for individual class parties to take place at 1:50pm. Photographs will be appearing on the school website to capture all of the fun!

We would then like to invite all parents and carers of Lansdowne pupils to come to the school for a Carol Concert that will start at 2:40pm. This is also an opportunity for all pupils to wear their own clothes for the day.

The Lansdowne Christmas Raffle will also be drawn during the concert. You can buy tickets from the school office at the start or end of the school day. Pupils will be leaving Lansdowne School at the normal time of 3:30pm on 19 December.

Teaching for the spring term will start on Tuesday 6 January. We would like to wish all students, parents and carers a happy and safe Christmas break. Thank you for your continued support in helping us to achieve our aims at Lansdowne School.
