Year 11 are preparing to write an essay on childhood obesity as part of our literacy learning. The students have started off this work by researching the subject online using the Lansdowne iPads.
Mr. Jukes asked the class members to start by making a bullet list of some of the key issues involving this debate. Areas such as health risks and Type 2 Diabetes were included for further exploration in the essays.
The students will be writing their essays over the next couple of weeks. The central theme will be how we can tackle childhood obesity. We will be looking for well-argued points about prevention.
