All Year 9 pupils at Lansdowne School have now completed an end of term maths assessment. These were undertaken with strictly no adult help. The aim was for every student to be able to advance their maths knowledge up at least one extra level. It also allows the teaching staff to set the individual targets for each pupil for next term.
We are hopeful of significant progress from each pupil once the tests have been marked. The new maths levels will be explained at the start of the new summer term.
All students have also been given plenty of maths homework to complete over the Easter break. We worked out together as a class how many days we have during the Easter holidays in which to attempt the homework. Using the class calendar we found that there is a maximum of 15 days. A top tip was to start the homework as soon as possible!
