The Year 10 students at Lansdowne School have already started preparation work for the IGCSE English exams and coursework that they will be completing next year. One of the main topics for the work is childhood obesity, and ways in which we can help to fight this.
A number of related reading resources have been presented to the pupils. An early task was for the students to consider some of the arguments contained in the literature, and then interpret this into their own words.
Other students in the Year 10 have been learning some new vocabulary associated with the issue of childhood obesity. They have been finding a dictionary definition for these words, and then forming complete sentences using the new vocabulary.
