New School Building Continues to Rise

DSC02023

We are pleased once again to update parents and carers with some photos capturing our new school building as it rapidly rises from the ground. We will be updating these every fortnight on the school website to capture the many exciting changes.

The construction team have been working hard on the site since our last update. The new Lansdowne School remains on schedule to be open for teaching in September 2016.

Some of the changes since our last site visit include the concrete pillars now standing firm in the foundations. The first floor structure is starting to take shape. Once this is complete, the process starts all over again as the second floor is added.

It was fascinating to watch the workmen operate the large crane that is now in place. This is controlled via remote control used by one of the workmen positioned on the new school floor.

The foundations themselves are very solid. Three different layers of concrete have been laid on the old school playground.

Here is a link to some of the photos that we published last time. Just look at the scale of change!
