All students at Lansdowne School are starting to prepare for Black History Month. Different activities will take place around the school to help remember and respect the contribution of many black people to our society.
The highlight of the Lansdowne celebrations will be a special assembly taking place just before the half term break. The Year 10 students have already visited the Black Cultural Archives in Brixton in preparation for the assembly.
Students throughout the school will be invited to take part in a Black History Month quiz as part of the assembly. Questions will cover famous black historical figures, as well as a round to test the knowledge of the students on modern black music.
