The Lansdowne School Choir has been learning some new songs to sign and sing during the weekly school assemblies. Many of the students around the school have been researching musical theatre during the class music lessons. It therefore made sense to introduce the song Tomorrow from the musical Annie for the Choir to learn.
The Choir led a very powerful performance of the song during a recent singing and signing assembly. The song contains plenty of signs to match the powerful singing. Choir members were able to lead from the front of the assembly to help the other pupils learn the new song.
After the excitement of singing Tomorrow, the assembly then performed a gentle version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, a song that all students are familiar with.
Certificates were then presented by Mr Jukes to the individual Star Achievers across each curriculum subject throughout the past week.
The Star Class of the Week trophy was presented to Class 11CJ for achieving the highest number of ticks for behaviour and outstanding work since the last assembly.
