The Year 10 students at Lansdowne School have been demonstrating some fantastic physical skills as part of our current gymnastics PE topic. The students have been looking at gymnastic elements such as floor work, vaulting and movement.
A recent PE session involved an obstacle course being set up in the Lansdowne gym. This was a complex activity that was completed by each class member against the clock. The skills included climbing, balancing, sliding, moving over and under obstacles, and performing a roll at the end.
Each student completed a circuit of the obstacle course under the clock. We reflected on which activities worked well, and where we could perhaps make an improvement. The obstacle course was then tackled once again, with the aim of speeding up our time.
