Year 8 have been working on sequencing different activities as part of our maths learning at Lansdowne School. Different work tasks have been set, depending on the learning expectations that are set for each student.
Some class members have been ordering the days of the week, as well as sequencing the months. Other pupils have looked at some of the different activities that we all carry out during the course of the day. Tasks such as cleaning our teeth, getting dressed and showering have been sequenced by the students.
A higher ability group has been using the theme of sequencing in relation to telling the time. Different clock reading exercises have been completed. A large part of this work involved comparing different time zones. The pupils were given the time for London, and then asked to find the correct time in a different city.
