There has been tremendous of progress on the new Lansdowne School building in the first few weeks of the new year. The project remains on course to completed to be available for teaching in September.
Most of the exterior walls for both levels are now in place. Insulations are currently being installed. The windows are also starting to be put in place. This is is a significant stage as it then means that the building will be weatherproof. Exterior work can then begin.
The walls currently consist of metals frames and panel bolts. Brick skimming is the next stage to be completed here. Some of the interior partition walls are also starting to appear. We can start to see for the first time where some of the classrooms will appear.
Scaffolding is now in place around the entire structure. This is to provide a platform for the construction team to work on the windows and the exterior.
