Class 10KW recently staged a very interesting assembly in front of all of our other friends at Lansdowne School. The pupils have been keen to find out a little more about St Andrew, and why Scottish people celebrate his life each year on 30 November.
The assembly started with the playing of Speed Bonny Boat – a traditional Scottish song. Some questions were then asked by Class 10KW for their friends to answer. We wanted to know where Scotland is, what the capital city is, and what type of food is traditionally associated with Scotland.
A short video was then played to tell the story of St Andrew. Each class member then shared a few more details about his life. A class poster was displayed, as well as one enthusiastic Class 10KW pupil demonstrating his skill for traditional Scottish dancing.
