Class 12IP Celebrate Black History Month with Assembly

Class 12IP presented a very thoughtful assembly themed around Black History Month. Our specific focus was the presence of black Africans in Britain between Tudor and Victorian times.

The students have been using their class tutorial time to research this topic. Each pupil read out a short biography of some of the historical figures that they have been learning about.

It was great to hear some very confident speaking from the front of the assembly. The closing message was a call for our friends to research more about the black people that have made an important contribution to British life.

Mr Jukes praised Class 12IP for their work. He reminded all pupils that we will soon be staging our popular annual Black History Month quiz.
