Year 9 Produce Victorian Inventions Timeline

Year 9 have been learning about Victorian inventors during recent humanities lessons. Each pupil was asked to research online a Victorian invention.

Our information needed to explain who the inventor was, what they invented in which year and a description. A final question asked the students to consider how future inventions might have been influenced by the original idea.

We had a wide range of Victorian inventions to share including the telephone, the postage stamp and a toaster. Each class member has designed a poster explaining a little more about their invention of choice.

Year 9 have worked together to create a timeline of Victorian inventions. We have looked at the dates to make sure that we have each invention sequenced in the correct place on our timeline.
