Class 11EM recently presented a powerful Bonfire Night assembly. The students researched the Guy Fawkes story during their class tutorial time. We wanted to explain to our audience the reasons as to why we celebrate Bonfire Night each year.
This was a very confident assembly with some superb speeches. All the pupils played a role in narrating the story. Some of the class members were able to memorise their lines and present without a script.
Guy Fawkes masks were worn to add a little more drama. We also built a bonfire using art material to be displayed at the front of our assembly. Class 11EM finished with some tips about how we can stay safe on Bonfire Night.
You can listen to some students explaining about their assembly in the recording below.
