Year 10 have been continuing to improve their football skills during our PE sessions. Mr Lee is keen for each class member to be able to recognise how certain skills can be used in a game situation.
Three key areas have been the recent focus: shooting, passing and dribbling. Work stations were set up on the school pitch. The shooting exercise involved scoring into the goal within a set space. Other pairs of pupils passed the ball up and down the pitch. The final dribbling skill involved making a figure of eight whilst controlling the ball.
These skills were then transferred to a game situation. We played a short game at the end of the session. Mr Lee encouraged each pupil to put into practice what we had learnt.
