ICT time in Year 9 has involved the pupils researching the possibilities of online danger. Specific terms were looked at: malware, computer virus, spam email and advance fee scam.
The first task was to complete a worksheet. Each class member filled in the missing words in a piece of text. We researched online to find out how each of these terms might present themselves to us when we are online.
The pupils were then asked to talk about these online dangers and explain what they mean. Definitions were written down in our ICT log books.
This theory work supports our practical online learning at Lansdowne School. It is very important that all pupils are aware about online danger whilst we access the internet to help us with our learning.
