The Lansdowne School Gardening Club students have returned after the Easter break to see many changes in our playground polytunnel. The after school club works hard on planting and attending the pants each Thursday with Mr Evans.
The first inspection of the crop after the Easter break revealed that the Brussel sprout plants have taken on a massive growth spurt! One of the Gardening Club members was able to identify that the plants are healthy as the leaves are green and they have no holes in them.
The next task for the club will be replace the spring daffodils in the outdoor planters and prepare some summer vegetables to grow in the playground. We are hopeful of entering the London schools vegetable growing competition later in the term.
