Year 10 recently prepared a tasty spaghetti meatball dish as part of our food tech learning. Two aims were set for the session. The first was to be able to prepare a meat based dish. The second was to research and learn more about the meat industry.
Food tech teacher Mr Evans helped the students with the three stages to complete the task. We had to make the meatballs, cook the spaghetti and prepare the sauce. Some of the students used quorn as a substitute for the meat.
Chopping and frying skills were needed to help prepare the meatballs. Safety skills were used when using the ovens in the food tech space. Each pupils was able to take home a successful spaghetti and meatball dish to share at home.
