We are happy to share an update from the Lansdowne School Cycling Club. This takes place in the school playground every Tuesday and Thursday after teaching. Volunteers from the wonderful Wheels for Wellbeing help out with this activity.
The Wheels for Wellbeing staff have spoken to the students about safety. Each pupil wears a cycling helmet whilst taking part. Bicycles for all abilities are available. The pupils are encouraged to work their way up the various bikes as they improve their handling skills and confidence levels.
We have noticed some considerable achievements over recent weeks. Some of the pupils who felt a little unsure about riding two wheel bicycles have now gained the confidence to go solo. Plenty of teamwork and sharing of resources takes place.
Many thanks to Wheels for Wellbeing for providing this superb opportunity to our pupils.
