Year 12 are improving their hockey skills during the second half of the autumn term. Three workstations were set up to help achieve this. These involved dribbling, passing and shooting.
The dribbling exercise required the students to keep control of the ball as they moved around four cones. Pairs of pupils counted how many times they could make a pass during a timed period. The shooting workstation involved the players seeing how many shots they could make on goal.
Each student logged their results for the timed exercised. They were asked how they could improve their techniques, and what exercises might help them with this.
The lesson finished with a full on game of hockey. This was a very tight game with the Year 12 students being able to demonstrate what they had learnt.
