Year 9 PSE Human Rights Research

Year 9 have started a challenging PSE topic learning about human rights. We have covered different topics to help the students get an understanding of why human rights are important to us all.

One of the areas considered is racism at football matches. The class members were asked to describe how they might feel if they witnessed racism. This then led to a discussion about a suitable punishment.

The #MeToo movement was then researched. We looked at the history behind the campaign and how it was able to spread.

The Year 9 pupils have completed a comprehension exercise to explore some of these ideas. They were encouraged to use some of the words in the question to help compose a complete and thoughtful sentence.
