Some of the Year 13 students are completing their Silver and Bronze Art Award coursework. We have recently looked at ocean themes and how we can present these in our work.
One of the techniques has involved combining many skills to produce a unique style of work. The starting point was to choose an ocean themed photo. Plastic bags were then cut up to help recreate this image. We spoke about the connection between plastic and the affect that is has on ocean wildlife.
This image was then laminated to help seal the plastic. The final task involved touching up the image with ink. This helped to create a dreamy, water-style effect.
