Year 9 Hindu Humanities Learning

Humanities work in Year 9 has seen the pupils learn about the Hindu religion. In particular we have looked at the Hindu Holy books.

Each class member has completed a research exercise. This involved searching the Holy books to find information for specific questions.

Examples include how to carry out a Hindu wedding, learning about Krishna the Hindu God, and what songs Hindus sing during worship.

We have also looked at the Rama and Sita story. The class members have researched the main Gods and Goddesses and what they represent. Finally we have looked at Hindu festivals and what their meanings are.
