Celebrating World Book Day at Lansdowne School

We had some fantastic activities around the school to celebrate World Book Day. Guided reading sessions took place, all involving special learning activities as we all shared our love of books.

One group of learners was tasked with writing a book review. They had the option to choose from their favourite books or even our current class reading book, Feeling A Bit Lucky.

We also wrote a profile of our favourite character. The learners were then asked to explain the reasons behind choosing this particular character, describing both the appearance and personality, and explaining why they selected this character.

The session concluded with some dictionary work. The pupils worked independently as they explored new vocabulary in their favourite books.
