Year 10 Drama Improvisation Video

Our early English and drama work for the new term in Year 10 at Lansdowne School has involved looking back over the summer holidays. The teaching staff are keen to draw upon personal experiences to help improve the written and verbal skills of the students.

The written work then developed into some practical drama sessions. The Year 10 students worked in pairs on a short sketch, acting out a conversation based on their summer holiday experiences.

An opening and closing line were give. The challenge was to set up a flowing conversation between the two partners. The students were asked to think about what skills we need to hold a meaningful conversation. Asking questions to our partner is a key part to this exercise.
