Year 7 have been learning about isometric drawing in our recent maths lessons. A large part of this work has been to understand the difference between 2D and 3D shapes. We started off our lesson by thinking of how we draw a 2D square, and then developed this into a 3D drawing.
The pupils were introduced to different techniques to help us visualise a 3D shape on a piece of paper. We spoke about how many sides the object has, and how many of these can be visible from a certain perspective. We also used our own knowledge of angles that we have been learning during maths lessons.
