Year 9 are midway through a D & T project that requires great dedication and patience. All pupils are designing and making a personal clock. We started off this process by thinking about what type of design we would like to feature on the face of our clock. All pupils were able to explore a favourite character online.
We then printed off thee images, and then set about the delicate task of tracing an outline of the figure. Once complete, the real work on the clock face could commence. The tracing outline was then transferred to the wood that we are working with. This is the current phase as to where the pupils are currently at.
Our next step will be to complete the painting stage, and the to sand down and polish any rough edges. The final task for this project will be to insert the clock mechanism into the centre of our designs. You can watch a Year 9 pupil explain more about his work in the video above.
