Year 11 have been working on a series of new circuit training workstations during our recent PE sessions. Mr. Lee has set up these obstacles in the school gym with the aim of exercising specific parts of the body.
The new station activities include a simulated mountain climb, hurdle steps, low jumps, a wiggle board, knee raises and squats. Each Year 11 student spent a short burst of time at each station before rotating activities.
We held a recap at the end of the session to share how we felt, and what muscles we were able to use on each workstation. The students can now hopefully identify a suitable activity to take part in if they want to exercise a certain body part.
Gymnastics and floor work will be two activities that Year 11 will be working to improve on during PE sessions between now and the end of the term.
