Year 11 Easter Food Tech Video

The Year 11 students at Lansdowne School have been baking some seasonal Easter cookies ahead of the short break. We started off this work by holding a brief class discussion about what type of food Christians might want to eat these during this time of year.

Each pupil was asked to work independently on this task. Adult help was at hand if needed, but we are keen for the students to feel totally confident when working in the Lansdowne kitchen space.

It was explained the importance of measuring the exact right amount for each ingredient. We spoke about what might happen if too much baking powder was used, or not enough margarine in the mixture.

The end result was a tuppaware container with a selection of Easter cookies for each class member to take home. We hope that this work has inspired the students to see how they can carry on with this cooking in their own home environments.
