Food Tech lessons in Year 11 at Lansdowne School has recently seen the students baking some tasty mini sausage rolls. Each class member was asked to work through a recipe sheet, and to take personal responsibility for their work.
The first task involved chopping and frying button mushrooms. Worcestershire sauce and tabasco sauce were then added. The next step was to add in the sausage meat to the mixture.
The students had most fun in preparing the puff pastry for their sausage rolls. These had to be rolled out into rectangles, and then filled with the sausage mixture. An egg glaze was then added as the final touch.
