Year 9 & 10 Pupils Prepare for British Music Assembly


All Year 9 and Year 10 students at Lansdowne School are researching the theme of contemporary British artists as part of our music learning for the summer term.

The aim of this work is for the pupils to be able to understand a little more about the careers of some famous artists, as well as a practical element in learning a selection of famous songs.

This work will conclude with a special school assembly. The Lansdowne School Choir will be helping out, having learnt to sing and sign a series of classic British contemporary pieces of music.

Three songs in particular have been the focus: Yellow Submarine, We Are the Champions and Starman. The Year 9 and Year 10 pupils are becoming familiar with the words. It would be of great benefit if the students could practise the songs at home and during class tutorial times. The videos are displayed below.
