Recent English and drama work in Year 9 at Lansdowne School has been based around a general theme of animals. The pupils have been asked to consider their relationship with animals and how we can care for them.
This led to some wonderful improvisation as part of a drama session. Each class member was asked to think of particular animal. A mime was then performed, with our other class friends asked to identify the animals.
Some very creative animal choices were made, including hyenas, meerkats and even a fruit bat!
Miss Cook and her team helped out the pupils with their acting. The Year 9 students were asked to consider how a particular animal might move, and what makes them distinctive.
