Year 11 have now completed their GCSE and Entry Level science exams. Plenty of independent learning is still taking place though with the pupils asked to complete a piece of research looking at UK wildlife.
Each student was given the choice to research about any mammal or bird that we find in the UK. Most of this learning took place online using the Lansdowne iPads. We asked the Year 11 students to consider the habitat where different animals live, and then to compare these.
Our findings were then presented in a structured format. The introduction needed to explain why a particular animal was chosen. The written work then explained more about the research, as well as some labelled diagrams of each species.
