The Year 11 students at Lansdowne School are preparing for the Head Boy and Head Girl elections. This is a special time in the school calendar where all pupils get to decide on who will represent them throughout the new school year.

The roles of Head Boy and Head Girl are incredibly important within our community of learners. They are expected to set an example at all times, and to represent Lansdowne School at various external events.

All Year 11 students were asked if they wanted to stand for election. We were very pleased to see such a large number of class members coming forward to be considered. Class tutorial time has been spent thinking about suitable manifesto ideas. Speeches have also been prepared.

Each candidate will get the opportunity to deliver their speeches during a special school assembly. A secret ballot will then take place on polling day. You can listen to some of the candidates introducing themselves in the short recording below.
