Year 9 Attempt Gymnastics Course

The Year 9 pupils at Lansdowne School are making great progress with their PE gymnastics work. Mr Lee and his team have been using the brilliant new gymnasium resources that we now have in the school.

Three different apparatus work stations were set up in the school gym. Each of them helped to develop different gymnastics skills, as well as improving the confidence of each pupil on the apparatus.

One work station involved agility as the pupils moved around an obstacle course. A second work station was an introduction to vaulting using the small springboard. The final work station introduced Year 9 to the high bars and helped them out with their balance.

Plenty of adult supervision was available for each of these activities. Future lessons will concentrate on helping to improve the speed around each apparatus.
