We are proud of the feedback that we have received following the Year 11 and Year 12 work experience. All students received positive comments after their week of volunteering within our community.
Placements were secured at a range of local businesses and charities. Lansdowne pupils worked at the British Heart Foundation in Brixton, the Oasis charity shop in Wandsworth, Premier Inn Hotels in Brixton and Waterloo, Turney School, Clapham Library, Halfords and a local hairdressing salon.
Work experience provides pupils with the discipline that we need for study and work. The Lansdowne students were able to help customers and improve their communication skills.
Letters are being written thanking the organisations that offered a week of work experience. A second wave of students will be taking part in a similar scheme during the summer term.
