Lansdowne School Achievement Assembly

Lansdowne pupils remembered the people who lost their lives in the Westminster attacks during a recent school assembly. Mr Jukes asked the students to reflect on the sad events. The assembly heard how we are proud of the tolerance at Lansdowne School. A respectful one minute silence was observed.

Mr Gratton then invited the School Choir to lead the way with a couple of songs. The students have been learning the words and signs for the Beatles I’m Only Sleeping. This was then followed by an uplifting performance of We Will Rock You.

The pupils were also encouraged to add any new song suggestions to a special box that is in the music studio. We are keen for the students to share their love of their favourite songs with others.

Achievement certificated were handed out to the pupils that have produced outstanding work across the curriculum. Kindness awards were also presented. The Star Class of the Week award went to Class 10KW with 100% of their ticks achieved.

Mr Jukes concluded the assembly with a reminder of the Lansdowne FRESH rules. We then Happy Birthday to a large number of students and staff who are celebrating.
