Year 8 Start Science Spring Topic

Year 8 have started a timely science topic learning about spring. We have held class discussions to talk about the changes that we can see around us. The pupils have been thinking about the changes in the weather, the plants and some of the animals and insects that we can see.

Some of the pupils have completed a comprehension exercise. A piece of text was read first. Questions were then answered. These included: when does spring start? What changes happen in the weather? Which animals comes out of hibernation?

Other class members have carefully cut out some pictures related to all four of these seasons. These have been matched correctly to a landscape pictures of the seasons. A short description has been added for each image. The importance of learning the sequence of the four seasons has been been focussed upon.
