We are pleased to announce that the Lansdowne School Gardening Club is now active! Mr Evans and his team meet each Tuesday after school. The aim is to introduce the students to the benefits of home grown vegetables. We also have plenty of fun!
Our fantastic new school playground has the space for a polly tunnel. This is almost completed. Some seeds have been planted ahead of what will be a summer of growing.
Spinach, coriander, basil and sunflowers have all ben planted. The Gardening Club members have been using their science knowledge to help care for the plants. Plenty of watering and sunlight is needed.
We are hopeful of being able to use our crop to help with the recipes during food tech tech lessons at Lansdowne.
