Year 8 have been having fun with their weekly drama lessons. These usually start with a warm up of the Headbanz game. This is a great way for the pupils to explore their vocabulary. They ask questions about what character they might be. It also challenges the other class members to think of a suitable answer.
Drama teacher Mr Shaw then introduced a rhythm and clapping game. The pupils took it in turn to clap out their name, and then choose a class friend to hand the task over to. Attention was paid to keeping the rhythm throughout.
The Year 8 drama session came to a close with a game of Keeper of the Keys. This is a Lansdowne favourite. It encourages listening skills as the blindfolded class member has to work out who has taken the keys.
