Mr Jukes welcomed all pupils to a recent assembly by thanking them for supporting the British Red Cross. Students were invited to wear their own clothes for the day. A donation of £1 was given to the charity by each pupil.
Class 9LE then presented their Newsround assembly. Each class member helped to produce a short video. Staff were interviewed by class members about recent news events around our school.
We heard Mr Lee offer some updates about Lansdowne Sports Day. Mr Evans was interviewed about the new school growing tunnel. Finally a couple of pupils spoke with Mr Jukes about our forthcoming Work Experience celebration.
The Lansdowne School Choir was then invited to lead the way with a couple of songs. We heard uplifting versions of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Three Little Birds.
Executive Head Teacher Mrs Adams invited staff member Steph to the front of the assembly. We are very sorry to be saying farewell to Steph as she continues her travels to Peru.
Certificates were handed out to the Stars of the Week, as well as the Acts of Kindness certificates. Class 9LE was presented with the Star Class of the Week trophy with a 100% record. The assembly finished with some birthday greetings.
