Another Successful Sports Day at Lansdowne School

The 2017 Lansdowne School Sports Day was another tremendous success. The whole school made the short journey to the Dulwich Sports Club. A full on day of sporting activity and celebration took place.

This was an opportunity for all students to show the skills that they have been learning throughout the summer term. A wide range of events took place. The full schedule covered:

Boccia, javelin, hammer, discus, shot put, long jump, triple jump, skipping, football, bean bag race, egg and spoon race, rounders, relay run, three legged race, cricket, and short tennis.

Each year group rotated around the activity areas. Staff members were on hand to give extra coaching and keep track of the scores and achievements.

Sports Day took place in a very friendly and supportive manner. It was great to see pupils congratulating their friends on their achievements.

The climax of the event was the 60m races. Pupils in each year group competed with one another. We also staged an elite boys and elite girls race. A competitive staff and parents race followed.

We would like to thank all the Lansdowne students who took part in our 2017 Sports Day. It was very challenging conditions with some extreme heat. Thank you also to Mr Lee and his sports team for organising the event.

Finally we would like to thank all the parents and carers who were also able to show their support for our school community.

We are happy to share photos and videos for all year groups. You access the specific year group pages below.
