Science learning in Year 11 has seen the students complete an extra research activity since the GCSE exams finished. We have looked at the topic of climate change. The pupils have researched both sides of the climate change debate.
This work was then presented to our class friends. Key to our presentations was to form an opinion about whether we believe in climate change. Scientific evidence was needed to back up any arguments.
Each class member was asked to include their own opinions in their presentations. Possible solutions were also offered. A closing statement was needed to back up their opinion.
The pupils also had a brief visit to the Lansdowne School roof. We have many solar panels placed here. We will be selling our power back to the National Grid. Climate change posters have also been created.
