First Full School Assembly of the New School Year

Head of School Mr Jukes welcomed all students to the first school assembly of the term by saying it was great to see everyone again. A special welcome was made to our new Year 7 students. Mr Jukes explained that Lansdowne is a very welcoming school. We will all work to help the new starters to settle in.

Mr Jukes also mentioned how the school is growing with plenty of new opportunities. Connections have been made with colleges and local employers. We are extending the range of work and life skills that we can offer to the sixth form students.

The Lansdowne School Choir performed two favourites: Waving Flag and the Lion Sleeps Tonight. Regular Choir rehearsals will switch to a Friday for this term. Mr Jukes invited all the new Year 7 pupils to join the Choir.
