The Year 11 students have been recapping on their summer holiday during our class tutorials. Each class member has written a diary entry. Specific literacy points needed to be included in our diary entries.
Describing the place where events happened.
Writing about our holidays in the past tense.
Describing the most important event.
Using personal pronouns in our diary entries.
Talking about how some of the summer events made us feel.
This was a great way for the students to share their summer experiences amongst friends.
A self-evaluation then took place. Each pupil was asked to use the traffic light system to explain the level of difficulty they faced in completing the task.
