Non Uniform Day, Black History Month, Film Reward Club

We are happy to announce that Lansdowne School will be staging a Non Uniform Day on 20 October. Students are invited to wear their own clothes for the day. A small donation of £1 is requested for Brixton Soup Kitchen.

The Lansdowne School Council is keen to support local causes in our community. We are hopeful of finding out a little more about the work of the Brixton Soup Kitchen later in the term.

Lansdowne School will be celebrating Black History Month with a special school quiz. All pupils will be able to test their knowledge on some of the key black figures throughout history.

This is usually a fun occasion with the music rounds being popular. We look forward to seeing the students demonstrate their knowledge of some of our black historical heroes.

The Lansdowne Film Reward club will be gathering on the final afternoon before the half term break. This is open to all students who achieve five stars during their lessons.

This is a celebration of the hard work throughout the first half of the autumn term. The pupils will be enjoying a screening of The Emoji Movie in the school hall.
