Year 7 have started a new PE topic focussing on the skills we need to play rounders. PE teacher Mr Paine has been helping the pupils with pitching, catching and batting.
Safety was key here. We spoke about how we can feel comfortable when catching the hard ball. Year 7 gained in confidence when using the baseball glove. The pupils were also asked to think about where we need to stand if a friend is using the baseball bat.
A short indoor game of rounders then took place. Mr Paine and his team encouraged the pupils to explain the rules so that we all knew what we were aiming to achieve. A self-assessment completed the lesson.
