Achievement Assembly Celebrates Student Success

Lansdowne School Choir once again started off another busy school assembly with some of uplifting songs. The Choir members from throughout the school led the way with renditions of Wild Thing and Stand by Me. Enthusiastic signing was on display at the front of the assembly.

Head of School Mr Jukes reminded pupils about the important event we have taking place on 15 November. The official opening of our amazing new school building will take place.

We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Who star Pearl Mackie to the event. Pearl is a local Brixton girl who is very proud of her background. There will also be a Barbecue for students and guests. Uzo the Grill Master has been invited back to serve up his amazing food.

Students will be speaking about what they have achieved so far in our brilliant new building. All parents and carers are of course invited along. We look forward to receiving your RSVP’s.

The assembly continued with the Kindness Awards being presented. Students received this for helping out friends in the Wii Dance Club, tidying up the food tech space and helping out with the PE equipment.

Individual certificates were presented for the Star Achievers in each subject area. Class 12DL was presented with the Star Class of the Week trophy for receiving 99% of their ticks for the past week.
